I did a flush on my 1.5 radiator. It was running hot. It is only taking about half of the 5 qts
new stuff
its supposed to...?? any ideas??

Well there is a drain cock on the engine as well as you have some antifreeze in your heater core.

Well there is a drain cock on the engine as well as you have some antifreeze in your heater core.Yes. Not sure where it is on the 1.5 but on the 1.0 Yaris there is a drain underneath the water pump. When i changed the coolant on mine a few years ago i think between the radiator and the drain on the engine i got about 4.5L out.

I didnt know about the engine drain plug. Where is it exactly on the 2007 1.5?any pics?
Because I failed to get all the coolant out I have 2 quarts of water and 2 quarts of 50/50 coolant in there.
Thats only 25% of the coolant needed. At the least I will drain 2 quarts from the radiator and put in 2 quarts of 100% coolant and that should work. But I would like to drain the block..
