Compliments

Over the past few weeks my Yaris has gotten several compliments. Random people at stop lights say how nice it looks and ask what kind of mileage I get.

A few even asked if I wanted to trade cars with them. It feels pretty good considering how little I paid for it. I think a lot of people think it's a hybrid too.

I call mine my Little gocart. You will get some snickers from the guys in the SUV's, but women find it cute! last laugh is one them, as you pass them at the gas station.

I don't necessarily receive a lot of compliments. But my car is usually only two places, the work parking lot or my driveway. And since I usually leave work about an hour after most people, it's rare to encounter people.
I did however notice on the drive home about 2 weeks ago two girls in the car behind me at a stop light reading "Yaris" on the back. Probably a good thing I haven't de-badged it yet as I'm likely to do shortly.

I love comments like that since I can play both sides of the fence. When I am in my 07 Expedition people ask why I would buy a gas guzzler and I tell them about the Yaris and how I take the train to work.

Then people get on me about how small the Yaris is and I tell them about my Expedition.

I still get people driving by me that stare at my yaris. It's almost embarressing really.

I get the "WTF are you driving" because my badges are de-badged and I have a front "Vitz" lightining emblem. They look at my rear and they see a black toyota emblem and the just have a puzzled look. Is it a toyota or something else?

Then they ask me if it's a hybrid(if I'm around) and then I tell them it's a go-kart. The younger kids I show them my mushroom and say that's my NOS and point at my banana and say get to close and I release!

HaHa I know how you feel though. I don't enjoy people either. I do enjoy watching them mindlessly going about there business though. I love to sit at malls and just watch poeple I laugh for hours. HaHa

A week ago I was driving down into downtown Hudson and I saw a guy on the sidewalk mouth "What the hell is that?"

A few days later I'm pulling into a supermarket parking lot and a kid standing outside his yellow Monte Carlo points at me from 500 yards away and proceeds to point until I park near him.

I don't see many cars on the road that turn as many heads (for better or worse) than the Yaris.
