Besides the obvious of going to the Toyota Mechanic for a scheduled oil change, what can I do to winterize my car as a DIY that the mechanic won't do on the regular?
I recently got a new battery, a new alternator belt, purchased back-up windshield wipers (they were on sale), and the usual Rain-X?

Let me know your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions.

Thanks YF!

Using the red tube provided spray WD-40 or similar into the cars door locks to prevent freezing.

Do not apply the parking brake during winter months especially on older cars which may have water in the parking brake cable tubes. If it freezes with the parking brake on car will be unable to be driven. Car must be placed in a heated garage to remedy

I do a partial grill block to get better/quicker heat. I also do a fluid film treatment to hold off rust.
