unknown sensor

found a sensor behind the bumper, left front just inside the plastic air chanel guards in front of the radiator below the crash bar.....anyone know what it is for?

if only found the sensor on AC equiped cars wondering if its a radiant sensor for the condensor temp? or an outside air temp sensor?...the car has the plug for it and i grabbed the sensor off an ac car and added it..just trying to figure out exactly what i added

Manual shows an Ambient Temperature Sensor.
In the area you are pointing out. In the Air Conditioner section of the manual.

hmmmmmm i kinda wondered, now is that for displaying temp or for the ac system to compensate

Electrical diagram show it connected to the AC controller.
Since the AC controller also uses the CAN Buss to communicate with the car electronics. It may also be used to display a temperature.
