I have a 2015 Toyota Yaris L (2-door hatchback manual transmission)

Are the following parts compatible? They're all listed for 07-11 model years but from my research it seems not much has changed suspension-wise between the older and newer hatchbacks.

Bilstein B8 front strut (22-236296) (https://www.ebay.com/itm/113988966610)
Bilstein B8 rear shock (19-236315) (https://www.ebay.com/itm/123876060723)
Tein S Tech lowering springs (SKC10-AUB00) (https://shop.redline360.com/products/tein-stech-springs-toyota-yaris-2007-2011-skc10-aub00)
TRD rear sway bar (PTR1152071) (https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__Yaris/TRD-Sway-Bar/69528949/PTR1152071.html)

The appetite for modding this platform really started its demise sometime in 2010, two years into the gen2 facelift. Nobody does gen3 product development, nor have any companies that supported the gen2 with aftermarket products even bothered to fitment test on the gen3 and update their compatibility databases.

It's pretty much come down to someone taking an educated guess, taking the plunge, and then word gets spread like it did in this case.

In a nutshell, engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension all the same gen2 to gen3.

The gen 3s get more love in Japan, just shipping stuff to Canada is brutally expensive post Covid or else I would have a full Vitz G's body kit on my car. Our dollar going down the tubes does not help either.

Its too bad cause these cars are super light and tossable, they're considerably lighter than Honda Fits and those have lots of aftermarket support. :iono:

I bought my Bilstein B8s from RockAuto.com, and they're cheaper compare to that eBay seller, but you'd have to pay for shipping. Ironically, I bought the Tein's lowering springs from eBay, for only $120.

Just wanted to update everyone on this thread: I completed the install and all parts listed in the original post bolted right up without a problem (NOTE: I went with Megan Racing springs, not Tein). Suspension components are indeed the same from Gen 2 to Gen 3. I’ll create a thread and post photos another day. Thanks for your help!

Can't wait to see the pics. I haven't had the chance to do it, but I'll be trimming the bump stop by half an inch. I felt a slight bottom out when I hit a bump going 70MPH.

Does anyone know the spring rates for the Megan Racing springs?

According to the Tein website, the S.Tech springs that I have are 3 kgf/mm on the front and 3.5 kgf/mm on the rear.

Thanks WeeYari!

Just to put it out for everyone without having to click at the links provided, the Tein S.Tech are 170lbs/in in the front and 200lbs/in in the rear, while the Megan Racing Springs are 126lbs/in and 140lbs/in respectively.

So basically, if I were to order springs or coilovers for an older gen, it should fit my '18 Yaris? Because I cannot find anything that goes with my year anywhere.

Correct.

Thanks for confirming. Makes things a lot easier to shop for now.
