Yaris zinc

Just got my yaris zinc and on the paintwork on each side of the car next to the wheels and on the door corner is stickers which are the same colour of the car. I asked the salesman what they were and he said "they are the stickers, you can't peel them off though"

What are these? From a distance it makes the car look like it has scratches on it.

Is this normal or has they messed up somewhere?

They are there to protect the paint from rock chips.
