Anyway.......
Before I go get a liftback this weekend, I was wondering if anyone has driven one of the '03 or newer VW Beetles with a manual transmission. I ask, because I've drove one of those for nearly 6 months as part of my job, and I got really accustomed to the shifting pattern and the overall performance of the car in comparison to the automatics. Is the manual transmission in the Yaris comparible to the Beetle's in performance / feel?

As a side topic, I'm planning on getting a Blazing Blue 2dr M/T Liftback with the power package, because evidently dealers in the St. Louis area can't hold on to the black ones, and I'm not really in the mood to order one.
