I was looking around and someone mentioned wheelsnext.com. they seem to have a good deal where rims and wheels shipped is $699... sounds too good to be true so I called them and they confirmed this. the tire you get is a Federal 595, which is a Z rated tire. they mount them and ship them to you for that price..!
I was looking at this rim:

anyone have any experience with that brand? is this a ok website? lemmie know! thanks

Hey, AlphaFox, I referred you to Wheelsnext on the classified site, but I've never bought wheels from them. Sorry I can't give you some first hand info.
Anyway, they are a certainly a large aftermarket wheel retailer with a good reputation, and they have good package pricing.
Don't know anything about Azul's or Kobe's. They both look good and are available in several colours. Ask them where the wheel you like is manufactured (probably China). Any warranty on the wheels?
Are the 205/40's the tire size you prefer for your car? I presume you are lowered or plan to lower if that size is okay with you. Otherwise, those tires are too short.
If I were buying from Wheelsnext, I would gently "massage" the sales rep and try to get a tire upgrade (either size or brand) for the same advertised package price. Most retailers will work with you a bit.
Good luck!

he offered to upgrade the brand to the federal since I called. I have the TRD springs, so all is well. not shure if I should go with these or the ones that 07TypeS is selling in the classified area.

Well, here it is:
1. Do you like the Koya (Kobe) or Azul better?
2. What's the offset of each of the two wheels? (With a 42mm, you could run 205/45's lowered with no problem. With 38mm, you should run 205/40's to avoid rubbing problems).
3. Do you like silver or hyper black better?
4. Would you prefer 205/40's or 205/45's? (Remember, 07's wheels have 205/45's).
5. Would you prefer Federal or Ventus tires? (both no hell, actually)
6. 07's are $650 shipped (if that's the deal), while Wheelsnext's are $699 shipped.

Hey AlphaFox,
Let me throw something else at you.
I found these wheels at Discounttiredirect. Don't know if you like them. I saw a Yaris in California with them last week, and they looked absolutely fabulous!
The wheels don't really photograph well... they look much better in person... very aggressive because the spokes are a bit wider and slightly squarer than the Kobe's or Azul's.
They're MB Drifters, 17x7, ET40. MB wheels have a great warranty, and Discounttiredirect has good prices.
So here you go:
These photos are 15's, so the 17's look way better. The nice thing about these 17" wheels is that they're single drilled 4x100, so they look far better than a one-size-fits-all dual drilled wheel!
The 17's are $79 each right now, and with Nankang 205/40's installed/balanced, plus the installation kit, they are $535 shipped if you order online!
Oh, BTW, you can get an additional $50 discount if you go with interest-free financing with Discounttiredirect. So, now you're at $485 OTD!

are you talking about 215/40R-17 83H BSW Nankang for $70 each? you said they were 205/40's but they arent. would the 215s work?
EDIT: I found the ones you were referring to for $53 each.

A Vitz (Tein lowered) with some expensive 17x7 WORK wheels (and 205/40's) that look very similar to the MB DRIFT wheels:

well that card discount thing is total crap. I called the card company and they dont even have record of it, so how the heck was I going to use that card to place the order??
AlphaFox

WTF!! I go to order today, and they changed their web 'deal' to be $20 off instead of $50... so now its $30 more for no reason. SO DUMB!!

you know, ever time I go to order these stupid things, something happens. 1st, I was going to get them from 07types, but then I read about wheelsnext and their deal so I decided to wait. then I hear about discounttire and check them out and decide to wait. then when I go to order and try to fill out the $50 coupon credit card thing it closes and I cant get that deal. then when I finally go to order them today they change their web rebate and its $30 more for the same thing that if I ordered 12 hours earlier would be cheeper. this isnt working out, Im pissed so screw all of the tire options, Im just sticking with the 15" steelies.

AlphaFox,
Call them directly, and probably get the same deal as a couple of days ago.
Really, the sales reps are flexible, and will work with you on the price.
Don't snooze, and don't get pissed off! Good luck, man.
