I checked out a couple of other sites and their prices went up too. WTF toyota?? I'm not mad at the sellers (and I have had nothing but pleasant transactions with sparks), but now with those prices I'm rethinking the coilovers. :frown:

The only person who mentioned "super" prices is you. We posted a sale with 'additional discounts' which we have applied to the parts for another two weeks. You may have been looking at someone elses ad, I'm not sure.

I'm not sure what your agenda is here, but if you want that part for that price I would suggest that you place the order with them before they figure out that the prices have changed.

Well, Ken, my only "agenda" is to clarify your "extra discount". I am no expert on the Queen's English, Ken, but in the diluted, standard American English vernacular, "discount" usually implies some reduction in prices, not an increase. Before said "discount" the prices on your site were lower than after said "discount". What is YOUR AGENDA Ken?

Nice emoticon from your web site, by the way.

ALRIGHT ENOUGH!

Ken from TRDSPARKS has always been very good to us here on YarisWorld… and I will not let you bash him!

Toyota raised the prices and Ken did his best to help us out by supplying us with a discount to the new prices so that the “Pinch” would be less painful.

If you can’t FREAKING respect that, then you should take your issues up with Toyota, NOT Ken!

Bacon… just so you know… You can use big words to make yourself sound smart, ONLY if your argument is sound… Beings that your point is un-valid, and you are too Ignorant to understand that Ken is not the bad guy here, it only makes you look Stupid!

Leave Ken alone! Leave TRDSparks alone! Only class less pigs shoot the messenger!

And one more… Just for the record, Thank you Ken for at least trying to hook us up, Please don’t let this @*&$^*#@$^ ruin your impression of YarisWorld, MOST of us are understand and intelligent people!

Look Kurokoma-kun… No curse words! :)

I like sparks, just purchased from them last week. But Ken didn't come on here and say... Hey guys, price hike but we are still offering low prices. He came on here and used the word discount after a huge price increase. He should have been straight foreword and none of this would have happened.

My question is what the price goes back to. Will it be 500 or is that just msrp?

No one here was trying to fool anyone. In the real world, prices go up and sometimes go down. Toyota, not Sparks, raised the price of the struts. As always, we take the real retail price and discount it as much as possible for the Yaris members. I cannot dictate to Toyota nor can I magically make the prices that are set by the factory go backwards. All I can do is try to help with the pricing I'm given, which I tried to do. No gimmicks, no tricks, and nothing sneaky. Everyone who knows me and our store knows that we are as straight up as anyone in the business. Perfect? No. Just honest people, trying to run an honest business and trying to offer the best pricing we can. If anyone on this forum was not familiar with the new pricing from Toyota on this one part and wants to be upset about it, I understand. Still, I cannot control the world, I can just work with the hand I'm dealt. The current prices are still good until at least the 15th of October.

I am vouching for Ken@TRD Sparks as well...every if HE raised the prices as well i am OK with that...its business...supply and demand..everypone wants the shocks...so raise the prices.
Not sure about you guys...but here in Canada i went to my dealer...which was the only place i could get TRD stuff...and i know they wanted to charge me way more than the Sparks prices now..and that's after the so-called discount they gave me since i got the car from them. Also, when i asked the parts guy he told me that it was coming from the states isn't that available and that it may be hard to come by. Here's an example -

Toyota original Yaris exhaust tip:

From dealer after discount: $90+14% taxes= $102.6 CDN
From dealer TRD sparks: $30+$10shipping=$40 USD

To me that looks like a big difference....

I understand the basic tenants of capitalism...I also understand that Sparks does have lower prices than most, and that is cool. I am not just trying to be an ass and argue just to argue, but I was really considering getting the shocks and springs, and got pissed when I saw the prices go up. I have heard many positive things about Sparks on here as well as other sponsors. I think that is cool that you do have working relations with Yaris World and appreciate that. I guess my beef is with the imperialist capitalist pigs (that is a joke), and not specifically Sparks. I think that I had a valid point, however that got lost in me being a dick. I apologize...to Nutzoids too, but I still think the Eagles suck.

Bacon,

There is probably a simple reason for the price difference on the site you listed and Sparks... the site you listed probably brought in some product before the price increase and is selling it based on that price. Either that or, they just haven't checked the pricing on that product in a while and will get a nasty surprise when they go to order it from their supplier when a client purchases it from them.

Personally, I'll deal with Sparks when I buy this as I want a company that moves a lot of product and is in constant contact with their suppliers.

I run into this issue all the time in the computer hardware industry...
