Hey, I didn't know where to ask this, I know that the intake manifold is a plastic pos, but i was wondering if it had a gasket to it so i can get a copy of the intake manifold flange easier.. Thanks! and if anyone knows how much it would be?

Why don't you just call a Toyo parts department? Or Rockland?

The gasket is made from a rubber o-ring material, and is not flush with the port walls, so you can't use one of these gaskets to port match like you would with, say, a chevy or ford V-8 intake gasket.

The oring gasket actually sits in its own channel away from any of the port walls.

i have an intake manifold if someone wants to buy it.. from an 04 xA (so different throttle body) but could be used for prototyping

by the way your "crappy plastic intake manifold" actually makes more sense than an aluminum one... heat soak is not your friend.

Actually, this is the one reason plastic manifolds makes sense. No more crappy gaskets... They have an O-ring for each intake port and the throttle body and don't need to be replaced every time they are disassembled. It makes it super simple and fast to remove and re-install your intake. Yeah for plastic car parts...

The downfall, in a front end collision they crack easily if the radiator is pushed into them. Perhaps this is better than a chance of engine block damage though.

weapon R is coming out with an aluminum intake manifold pretty soon so instead of replacing your old one with oem i would just wait it out until the weapon R one comes out
