Looks sweet, but are you experiencing failures due to increased torque and HP from supercharging?
Looks like something you might want to replace if you are seriously engaged in auto-X or racing.

After CAli drops the new engine he will be putting down probably 3 times the power the OE drivetrain normally see...
For the peace of mind this is a reasonable upgrade.
You would not want to take your car back home early during a track day cause a broken axle...:w00t:

^ exactly. I expect to push 300 whp or close to it - and I'm quite sure the stock axles aren't designed for that.
seehuge, thanks for the assist. I guess I'll just load pics onto my server; Picasa is such a cool tool though :frown:

just a word for the wise use the stock c clip not the ones from dss cause i have those on my crx and everytime i ran it the axle would pop out cause the clips suck so i used the stock ones and they held in fine but they are bomb ive also ran the stock axles up to 500hp but the only reason why they broke was because of the wheel hop i had then i bought the dss. how much you picked those up for?

I'll start a new/re-created thread about my built motor. That will answer most of the questions about how I'm going to make 300 whp with a 1.5L motor.
The axles are for peace of mind - I don't like getting stranded at the track.

Let me know when you are going to the track and dumping 300hp through the drivetrain for the first time. I might come out there just to give you a lift home.
I'll bring the Jeep and test out your towing ring
BTW, I'm PM'd you.

Those look awesome. Now the only thing in the drivetrain that can drop out is the transmission

I haven't weighed the stock parts yet, but I'm sure the new ones are heavier, they are thicker in the shaft, joints and splines.

Not really anything else to take a picture of -- once installed, they are just kind of "in there".
nemesisz, I can get a better price than they show on their website, but you'll have to send them some cores. Let me know if/when you want to do it.

stock axles, hubs and studs = 40 pounds
fortifieds axles, hubs and studs = 46 pounds

Not too bad... considering you really need those with the amount of power you'll be making. It could have been much worse.

I have a bad memory...I though you were looking at like 230whp NA with the built motor...or was that the woman with the scion you spoke of?? IDK...

Neither. Art's turbo xB made 280 whp @ about 18psi (I think that was the boost).
We're thinking we can get my built motor over 300 whp, I have it bored and sleeved to 1.6L.
I don't know the "record" for N/A horsepower from this 1.5L motor -- good question! Anyone?

did you redo all the internals for your build cali? ive read through a lot of posts on the site debating if i want to tune a yaris or fit. i like the yaris bc it will be a unique build. anyone can drop a k-series in a fit. of course there is so much more market for honda...
