A $ 2.00 mod

Hello you all, I donīt know if you are like me, that hate the emergency brake handle feel, and specially how thin it its, well I also like biking and I found a solution for it.

This is a $ 2.00 rubber like handle bike ends, whats is great, besides the price and getting tow for the price, is that there are so many models you can get almost from any store, but the must important is the feeling you pull the brake, and driving.

Besides, this model type actually lowers the noise when you pull the brake handle.

To install just put some gel, and push it, just like that.

It might last about four month or so, mostly because of the sun, but hey at this prices.

Try it.

Well in my country you can find them even in super markets, thatīs where I got these ones, but for sure in places where they sell bikes, or accesories for them.

Out of curiosity I grabbed some rubber mountain bike grips I had out in the garage and went to see if they would work. They proved to be too small, so I would recommend anyone considering this to buy foam ones like jaimico posted in his pics. I don't have any motorcycle grips to try (they're all on my motorcycles!), but they have a bigger diameter if anyone wanted to try them.

It's an easy mod and these grips can easily be found cheaply at Walmart or any other store...

Cheers! M2

I was thinking about pulling one of the grips off of my trashed mountain bike bars. The brake felt about the same diameter as the bars, and it would serve as a constant reminder of my super bad-ass crashing skills.

Yes the problem with the rubber type, is that they are harder to use since they are not very flexible, thatīs why I used the foam type, is way easier to have them installed.

Nice post. I'm always looking for a mod I can afford. I'll have to give it a try.
