After 12 years Crashy is still alive and still plowing snow!
It has been 12 years since I first rebuilt Crashy into the plowing machine that she is. Over the years she has continued to be the handiest yard machine between plowing the driveway all winter and hauling stuff in her power dump bed during the rest of the year. She had 26K miles when I bought her in 2009 and she still hasn't broke 27K yet. Although the rest of my Yaris are gone at this point and things are so crazy with my job that I seldom find time to be on here, the Yaris will always be one of my favorite vehicles.
We got about 18 inches of snow with yesterday's storm, but as always she made quick work of cleaning up the driveway (and plowing a path around the entire yard, as the dog doesn't like deep snow).

So cool! Can I borrow her for my place?
And welcome back, even if only for the moment. |

Awesome machine!
Although my Yaris experience is well behind me, the Yaris remains among my favourite little vehicles as well. |

CTScott was a big help to me as well with my mirror turn signal installation. I'm sure a lot of others here owe him a debt of gratitude as well.

Scott, funny you should post about Crashy. Yesterday at the fire station I showed a group of the firefighters his pictures. There was disbelief that you could put a plow on, but the looks when they realized it was a 7 1/2 foot full size plow was something else. I bought a new 2019 F150 and it can not have a plow installed without voiding the warranty. I still have my 2010 5 speed, 2 door HB, with 182,000 miles. Bill C

Nice to hear from you CTScott. About 10 years ago, I used your awesome write up to install cruise control in my 07 Hatchback. It's been great having cruise control on long drives. We completed two roundtrips from California to South Carolina after the cruise control install.

Nothing brings 'em out like a post from the mighty CTScott --and about Crashy, no less? How did we come into such good fortune!
Coincidentally, I just posted some images of Crashy to my Instagram story and people went nuts. Thanks for taking the time to update us; it really is a pleasure to see. |

Holy shit - the man the legend.
I think finding random pictures of "crashy" somewhere is what made me join this forum. We don't often get bad snow here in England but this winter has been pretty brutal and I must admit I really did start wondering about adapting a snow plough onto my Yaris when I was spending all night at work shovelling.
