I think 205/50's would work really well for you.

With DF210's, you can run 15's or 16's. It's your choice.

With 15's and 205/50's, you don't need to worry too much about the wheel offset because of the short tires.

However, if you want to run 16x7's with 205/50/16's, then wheel offset is critical. To avoid rubbing problems, don't run less than ET42mm. If you choose to install wheels with ET38-40mm, then you should go with 195/50's or 205/45's.

205/50R16 would be better because personally I would not want the other size because it is much smaller of a size, and that is not my cup of tea

This is the Toyota Vitz OEM wheel and tire size: 16x6, ET51, 195/50/16

Most (lowered) Vitz 16" tire upgrades are to 205/45/16.

195/50/16 is a very common tire size in Asia, but not here in the States. We've been installing 205/50/16's because they are readily available and really cheap.

But, 205/50/16's won't work with DF210's and 16x7, ET38's, for example; you'll have to go with either OEM 195/50/16 or with 205/45/16's. These tires are not too short.

why tell him to run a +38 then? 205/50R16 would be perfect with a +42..... I am not saying they are too short... I am saying they are too short for my taste.... when you put a smaller tire on like that you just open the wheel gap back up, and that completely defeats the purpose of lowering your car in the first place....

Yeah, I completely agree with you about wheel gap, but if you look at CaliYaris' car, he is running 16x7's, ET38, 195/50/16's... and they look really tight. He initially installed 205/50's but encountered rubbing problems.

So, I'm not telling this guy to run ET38's, but you know yourself, BlackYaris, some guys just want a particular wheel regardless if it's the best offset for the application or not. So, if he chooses to run ET38-40mm, then he needs to think twice before installing 205/50's.

Personally, I like 205/50's as well, so I would choose a wheel with the proper offset for that tire.

True.....
+38-40 = 195/50
+42-45 = 205/50
problems solved :)
