17"s w/ 205/40/17 Nexen wheels ..... I figured I'd wait till they were on to decide if I'm lowering it or not.

I will get those springs put on in the next couple weeks .... lol

Looks good. Love mesh wheels. With 205/40's, lower it; otherwise, install OEM 205/45's.

+1. I'm actually surprised it looks that good on stock suspension.

That said, it will look even better with a drop.

I have 2" springs right now, but since last night while driving around the fronts rubbed when I took a u-turn (I now know not to do that ....) I am going to invest in some TRD springs and just get that 1" on it.

I do like how it looks now, I just want the ass end down a bit. IMO it looks kinda high. I also need to hurry up and get a spoiler.

I'm surprised that it rubbed with 205's and stock suspension.

Of course it's usually only on full turn which is very tight. The Yaris has the tightest turning radius in the industry. Certainly nothing to complain about. I just try to stop short of full turn.

It could very well be that I just need to get used to turning like in a regular car again lol It's been a couple years now since I haven't had the turning radius of an RC car :)

I'm running 17x7 +42 wheels on the same size tires on an identical car with Tanabe NF210 springs and tokico blues shock and have no rubbing at all.

Did you get the shocks on at the same time as the lowering springs? I am trying to decide if I really need to get shocks with a 1" drop

Yea I put them on at the same time to save on installation cost since it takes basically the same amount of time to replace both as it does just springs. I don't think you NEED shocks especially if you are just lowering for looks.
