Got some of the trunk done yesterday

What its gonna look like when done for now.

What i want to do with the subs in Fiberglass afterwards
[img]]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2601/3820206179_2e992c208e.jpg[/img]

One on each side

Working on some ideas of either adding some vents and fans or cutting the top where the amps are and making a grill of some sort so they dont overheat

Very clean, keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the finished product.

We did actually crimp or solder the signal wires correct? Those electric tape connections make me climb walls. Look! See? I'm on the ceiling...
:)

Did you mess with the placement of the subs before final placement?

What is so difficult about that? Make it happen. I see a "cover" or a raised floor that houses the enclosure and a single amplifier. The most difficult thing about this that I see is the blend of the enclosure and the floor itself. Even the carpeting isn't particularly difficult...rather time consuming when you hit the enclosure. Lots of trimming and stretching. The fun part is trying to find the specific carpet match if you're a DIY'er. Looks like they're using a Rainbow woofer. I'm also betting that there is a grill for that woofer as well. The sunken trim ring is a little more than just flushed. Is that a DLS amplifier? It looks small in the picture...that doesn't REALLY look like a DLS...hmmm...

Heck, it's all fun! Let's see some more!

i Dont know what components are in that install just used the pic as a general idea for the subs

getting materials together see when i can pull off the install,

ordered some 10" mdf rings to start of

kinda thinking where the amps are just to cut a hole in the floor that covers them and make a metal grill so the heat can just rise

No t-shirts when doing glass work. You'll be itching for days. Perhaps I'm a sick one...I enjoy all of the building process of glass racks and enclosures.

Trying to find Dinamat here in PR but cant seem to find it, went to some audio install places they dont carry it and arent very helpful :S might have to order , also order the fiberglass.

Found
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/10-Sq...ehicleQ5fParts

$20 for 10 square feet
would that be enought for the trunk?
would like to wrap the floor wheel wheels in one shot, eventually do from the back seat floor to the firewall, and all four doors

i hate the sanding when i'm sanding.. but afterwards I feel very accomplished.

I kinda cheated on my kidpods I made for the koda8's in the mazda.... Layered on the rage gold about a half inch thick in places.... made smoothing them out VERY easy.... looked good when they were done... tho.. i never got around to painting them.... oh well.. they are gone now.

dynamat is pricey... it's like buying a nike brand ball when you could just go out and buy a wilson or spalding or any other brand for 80% (or lesss) of the price.
