The car shot is a photoshop, and the engine bay shot isn't even of the new Vitz, look at the front, you can see the top of the grill, which should be the red painted top of the bumper in the new Vitz...It's most likely the old Activa swap in the old Yaris/Vitz....The battery and airbox is in the wrong location for the new Vitz as well

You could be right, I saw that same picture on another board claiming that pic was a Japanes show car that a Toyota affiliate produced.

In other words, a Yaris with that engine can be both more lively and more fuel economical than the Corolla and the current 1.5 Yaris. Oh! Let it come with leather interior, traction/stability control and a 5 or more speed manual or automatic transmission or even the CVT! BY all reckoning, such a car should not be more expensive than a similarly equipped Corolla. My imagination flies.

Be nice, don't wake me up!

Rofl, the tC does have the 2.4l Camry engine, the 1.8l is a stretch, I doubt the 2.4 could fit.

Hmmm ... VVTL-i. That'd be fun in a Yaris.

I see in that article it says 2ZZ-GE. It must be the newer version of the Celica's 2ZZ-FE engine.

Good idea! But then you will not have good fuel economy.
