so thats all you have to do to bypass the secondary clutch switch for the MT?

Yup that's it and everything to bypass the MT clutch switch. Now if you are using cruise control and you hit the clutch the engine will rev like a mofo since there's no switch to stop it...so don't hit the clutch! Unless you wanna blow shit up

Also I'm probably going to try to make my own clutch switch, seeing as it's only a momentary switch held down bt the clutch. I'd rather spend another 2 bucks on the switch then 19 at the dealer. I'll post pics once I finish it.

So...theoretically I wouldn't even need to remove the dashboard if I'm using the stalk. If I reuse a ground point on the driver's side kick panel next to the hood release, and just thread all the necessary wires through the firewall, then that's the end of that. Now, this is exciting.

Definitely don't remove the dash, since the junction point under there is not populated. It's just a straight run from the stalk connector to the ECM.

By the way, if anyone has the clutch switch on hand, could you post a picture of the connector? I believe I may have found the necessary wire plug. It was taped up with a bunch of other wires by the clutch pedal, so....

The connector is a two pin one with a black and a blue wire.

so instead going through the hassle of buying the secondary clutch switch for the cruise, I should be able to use those two jump points in the fuse box and wire a momentary button to shut it off? and then I can just press the "on" and "set" to start the cruise again?

Actually, just press set again (or resume if you do the four button method). Only on/off or the keyswitch completely clear cruise mode.

Well, I found an unused wire plug, but it's clearly the wrong one. I wonder what this one's for?
Anyway, AllexNet0, I'll be installing the stalk on sunday hopefully. I'll take a bunch of pictures for each step of the way. And we'll see what happens with the clutch switch wiring that nickhjort was talking about.

Yeah tomorrow I will be "frankenstein"ing it together. I haven't had time yet, but tomorrow I will hopefully have it done, and I will also mock up an exhaust idea I had. I will take pictures of both :)

Pics for now... I will take more in an hour or so when I get it put in...it's raining like a mofo here now...

This is my switch I bought at radio shack. You get four in a pack for 3.59 I think.

Aluminum bracket, switch and bolt that replaces stock clutch switch.

My Frankenstein (It's ALIIIIIIVE!!!!...almost)

Just make sure you have a SPST switch that is normally open...not closed. Also make sure it is long enough to touch the little black plate you see in the picture. I think mine is barely gunna work. If not I will probably epoxy something onto the end to make the button part longer. We'll see in a few.

Well the switch was just barely too small. So JB Weld time...

I used a cap from a can of liguid wrench :) Now it truly is a frankenstein haha. But it's all good. Nobody can even see it unless they stick their head under the dash. Anyway more pics to come soon when it's installed in the car.

Alright peeps, it's in. It works so far when hooked up to the meter. Tomorrow I'm gunna wire it in and test her out. Now all I'm waiting for is the led "module", courtesy of CTScott then I'll be all set

Nice job with the DIY switch. Hopefully this week I'll be able to ship you the module for driving the LED.
