Help w/install of iPod adapter+HD Radio Tuner

Hey guys, first of all I want to say what a great site this is....it's helped me find and install all sorts of crazy things for my car...Thanks!

I have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 HU and I wanted to add iPod & HD radio capability so I bought the CD-IB100II iPod interface adapter and the GEX-P10HD HDRadio tuner. My problem is I am at a loss on how to power the two units. They both have their own power wire and ground, plus they each have an inline fuse. Where can I tap into a constant 12v source, and will I need a seperate source for each unit?

I'll be installing these units side by side under the passenger seat if that helps any. I'm pretty good at most DIY projects, but power wire always scares me a bit...I want to make sure everything is safe and done right. I don't know if I can tap into the HU's wiring harness or how I would do that if it is possible, or if I need to look elsewhere. I'd appreciate any help from you guys. Thanks!

I would tap the supply to the HU. Both of those modules draw minimal current compared with the HU.

Thanks for the reply....so would it matter where on the power supply I tapped into it (i.e. before or after the harness)?

No. Either side is fine. At both points you're already downstream of the fuse.

OK...one last question...I'm going to use POSI-taps to tap into the wire, do I need to do a sperate tap for each unit or can I combine both the iPod adapter and HD radio tuners power wire into one connection point (i.e. one connector for both units)?

Thanks again!!!
