my wife lost her cell phone in the doctor's office parking lot last winter. she thought it must have fallen out of her purse getting into the car. there was a few inches of snow on the ground and i checked where she remembered parking it. lo and behold, after 20 minutes or so of searching the area by shoveling snow with my feet i found it! it had probably been in the snow for 3-4 hours at least and other than a cracked screen it still works great. maybe somebody stepped on it or drove over it? it's a motorola razr.
