Boosted Fits are not that quick??

Ya looking on their forums, those things are running like mid-high 15's@ like 85-86mph. Boosted Yaris seem to run 14's in the 90's and we all have seen what nitrous does for this car with some bolt-ons. Why are the Fits so much slower it seems?

Probably something to do with a Fit being heavier than a Yaris? I'm just speculating here.

Curb Weight of 2010 MT Honda Fit Sport Trim: 1147kg
Curb Weight of 2010 MT Toyota Yaris 5-dr liftback RS: 1082kg

Although, the Fit does come with more HP than the Yaris, but who knows, almost 100kg of difference.

Would be interesting to find the answer to this.. If 65kg makes so much of a difference, then I'm going on a diet.. For reals..

yaris has more torque.

hp doesn't mean as much in drag as torque does when racing these little cars

It does make a difference. 143 pounds is .15 seconds in the 1/4 mile. More or less.

One turbo'd yaris has a timeslip at 14.93
One nitroused yaris has a timeslip at 14.98

Everyone else is 16s or higher

still waiting for garm, but how does a boosted yaris seem to run 14s?

Well most of the Fits are in the 15's turbo or nitrous or supercharger ......
There are people that dont post that im sure have clicked off 14's.....The Yaris seems to make more tourqe when boosted then the Fit does when looking at dyno charts. The fit also makes peak HP later on due to the vtec. I dont know if this could have that big of an affect on things, but there are quite a few fits in the mid 15's with turbo setups.
