Summer Tires 195/50/16 (2) Options?
Hi guys, I need to get new summer tires and I'm between 2 tires:
1- Kumho's Solus KH25 2.-Falken Ziex ZE-912 I've read good and bad things, but rather have some Yaris friends feed back if possible. Thanks, 1- Kumho's Solus KH25 2.-Falken Ziex ZE-912 D.

For me, the 912's were just okay, not bad at anything, but doesn't excel at anything either. They lasted long, could have gotten the rated mileage out of them, but I sold the rims.
If it doesn't snow at where you live (or you are going to use them only in the summer), I'd go with strict summer tires. They outperform all seasons in wet and dry conditions, but are just pretty noisy. I keep thinking your rims are 17's. lol |

thank Kao, for your input.
The noise would be an issue for me, )o: D.

I had some Direzza model on a pair of my Rota Grids. Can't remember which ones, but they were way better than the Ziex 912's.
I'm sure those Direzza's will be better as well, but being directional, I'm going to assume they are on the (a bit) noisy side. |

I like the DZ101's, especially considering how cheap they are. They are not the stickiest tires out there, but they aren't mean to be. They seem to last pretty long and wet traction seems almost the same as when it's dry.

If you are looking at summer tires, go with that magic formula Toyo size the autocross guys actually banned. What is it? 195/50?

A quiet ride, not uni-directional and no snow tire.
Thanks D.
