If you have the Eclipse/TomTom AVN2210p...
...then don't take out the memory card to update it (because it's faster than the USB 1.1 connection), forget the card in your work laptop, say "screw it, I'm not going back up for it", drive home with the TomTom unit going through a continuous power on self test cycle because the OS is on the card, causing the battery to get overcharged, swell up and trying to poison you as the car fan keeps blowing air across the head unit and towards you...
New battery ordered and on the way. |

Couldn't you remove the TomTom from the HU so it doesn't power cycle like this?

I could have and should have. I didn't realize it would be an issue.
