In that case:

(Yeah, I know, needs a 1" drop - haven't gotten around to that yet.)

I'm thinking about putting a plate of some kind on the front maw, but haven't decided which one yet. Also need to get a basic white color frame for my rear plate still.

Interestingly enough, 1NZFE was also one of the options that I was considering for my plate at the time.

Another runner-up was the name of my 17-year-old cat (RYOKO).

17 years old, wow. That's cool. My only interest was the black plate. Since the price was the same for personalizing, I tried for 1NZFE assuming it was already taken. If it was, I would have been fine with random characters. When I saw that it wasn't taken, I was pretty happy. I like having a 5 character, car related plate. The spaces are technically characters, but it doesn't read that way and I like that.

Love the plates on this thread! I agree if I were to change mine it would be the yellow on black. I know there's a one time fee to change it to black and yellow, but is there also a yearly fee after that? Just curious.

An application fee of $50 applies to either a sequential or a personalized license plate.

$40 for renewal

$15 to transfer the plates to another vehicle

$35 for substitute plates

So if I wanted my exact same plate, but just black and yellow it'd be $50 with no yearly fee after that? Or.. Sorry I'm having a brain fart lol.

It would be $50 when you first order it online, and then you'd see an extra $40 for it on your yearly renewal.

The initial $50 would cover the first year, so you'd start to see the yearly $40 fee on the second year after getting the personalized plate.

Same characters or not, they consider black/yellow personalized and the fees apply. That's why I decided to go with 1NZFE, because the price would have been the same for a random black/yellow plate.

Hope I didn't confuse you more lol.
