New to me 2012 (Keyless entry remote install)
Hello,
I just got a 2012 Yaris "LE". Not really, it was advertised as LE on the web, the car had the sticker LE with all the LE feature but it was not an LE. No bluetooth, no keyless entry, no power windows. Anyway I still got it, for the price I thought it was good enough. But I want to had a keyless entry remote, so I bought a cheap BigHawks kit, seems pretty easy to install. My problem is where do I find all this cables on the 2012. I know the wiring is the same as the 2011. I try the "DRIVER'S KICK PANEL", I suppose it's the panel above the driver's feet, ok, easy to remove, but I can't see anything because i'm not a contortionist. I cannot remove the knee level panel, because it carry the knee airbag, so I don't want to touch that. So any solutions to access the wires? Maybe the wires are under the hood. Congrats on your purchase. Sorry I can't help you but I'm sure you've come to the right place. Where in Florida are you at? I'm near Naples.

I took some pictures from underneath, I cannot see any wire (easily accesible), everything is hidden.

ok, since the wiring of the 2012 is the same as 2011, I figured out that the 2011 keyless entry system should be approximately the same and I found that. it looks like everything should be accessible from the side.
Thanks for your help |

Sorry that you didn't get too much help from the community on this one. I'm not good with the mechanical/electrical stuff, or I would have chimed in early on.
