2012 radio compatibility
Just wondering if there is a cut off year for oem radios being able to just be plugged in?
Thinking about switching to the touchscreen radio. Don’t know what changed in the plugs and wiring harness up to 2018 model year. |

I know 12-17 radios all interchange. 18-19 will more than likely plug and play swap too, but there is only one way to find out on those.

Go to crutchfield.com, select a head unit compatible with 2018. Then check same head unit for compatibility with 2012. If there are changes in the wiring, the harness that Crutchfield includes in the order will change between the 2 compatibility checks.
