What About Tires?

I have read page after page about Wheels, Rims, Mags, or whatever the fuck you wanna call em… But what I really want to know about is Tires! That’s where the REAL performance lies!

I have always been a fan of Perelli P6000 tire, had them on my 92 Corolla… and man-o-man did they ROCK

But I am looking for a bit more… Lightweight, Good tread life, and GRIP… I want a tire that just has to make love to the road… to hold on and Hump it into Submission!

Rain, Snow, Even big gusty winds… this cars like to move and sway… Who knows of a tire that can put a stop to that?

Tires… What do you guys think?

Hmmm I'm using Falken FK-452's, No complaints whatsoever, they grip well, they seem to be lasting pretty long, and most importantly here, they are very well behaved in heavily waterlogged conditions.

I've got Toyo Proxes 4. THe motorhead kid swears by them, and has had them for a long time on his WRX wagon. He wouldn't (and doesn't) use them for either hill-climbing or AutoCross, but for day-to-day play and protecting his wife and kid, Toyo Proxes 4.

I'm putting Nokian WR's on mine. You can run them all year, they've got the winter "severe service" emblem, and they have low rolling resistance. They're supposed to be great in snow and rain, and very decent on dry pavement too.

Bump.

Looking for (edit) 215/40/17's. Wear and grip are my most important criteria. Mostly commute and city driving, but some canyon runs. All seasons are preferred, as this is my daily driver (my weekend car gets the gumballs). Open to all options.

I'm currently looking at Conti Extremes, Falken Ziex Ze 512, & Pirelli PZero Neros.

Recommendations greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I used Toyo Proxies also, never had a problem with them but I can't promise that they are what you are looking for. Not really the best in the winter either.

I have the size your looking at with the Nitto Neo Gen tire. The ride is great and I get good grip, plus they are all-seasons.

EDIT: I thought mine were the same size that you were looking for. Mine are 215/40zr17. Nevermind....
