Hey.. I just bought a new 07 yaris hatchback and I've been browsing these forums since I got it...but I am new to cars (this is my first car I've bought :) )

Anway, my newbie question is... what is a pulley? And, do you guys do all these performance upgrades yourselves, or do you take the car to a shop? (and what does these upgrades do to warranty?)
