I don't think it has so much to do with capitalism as safety regs. I can't imagine that thing would come anywhere close to meeting crash test requirements. Yes, the smart is smaller, but it's also one giant steel frame, hence the odd look. This thing isn't big enough to carry 4 people AND be hiding anything solid underneath that cute bodywork. Hell, the rear passenger headrest IS the rear window!

108 inches long little to small for me. But they made it to put the smart car down the tubes. Go back to making the cheap watches your days are over,

So with there already being the smart and the iQ, what's the next car going to be called? GPA? (Grade point average)

That's one sweet little car. I remember about 10 years ago Toyota was testing a car in Japan with had a digital face on it. If the car was being maintained well it would have a really happy face for everyone to see. If you weren't maintaining your car it would slowly develop a frown.

Ever notice how recent toyota's seem to have faces? I wonder if this is a psychological thing, done on purpose, because people like relating to and looking at other peoples faces?

The iQ looks pissed off, I like it. If they came out with that here it would definately be one to consider for a city car.

Don't get the appeal of anyone with an attitude, and that blonde certainly seems to be sporting one.

On the other hand, that car looks sweet... now that's appealing! Gotta get me one!

I remember that car! I thought it was an awesome idea... like a giant tamagotchi pet! It would wiggle the side mirrors like ears when it was happy, and wag its antenna. If I'm not mistaken, it took note of your music preferences as well, and somehow incorporated that. Very funky.

Hey! So I was browsing around in Yahoo and found out there really is a 'mini-yaris'! Dont know for sure if it's coming to the states. I think it might stay in Europe.
But here's the pic I found on yahoo!!
