No. Unfortunately the echo predates CAN Bus for OBD communication.

Soooo, how close are you to making this happen?

I have a feeling you are going to make some decent money on this project. Time consuming yes, and I still think people will wait a month for there custom-made Yar-Gauge if gets to the point where it is a hot-seller.

Here's a video of what I have running thus far on the new display. I am still running it with my 09 cluster, connected to Garm's 07 ECM on my bench. By mid week I should have it ready to go back into the car.

Excellent! There's a whole lot of functionality in there... You may want to consider having a "shortcut mode", in order to have my favorite functions close together (for instance, being able to switch between MPG and RPM readouts without having to press the button a number of times to get there). Am I making sense?

Great job all around, Scott!

actually, the options are infinite. with a single button
there are actually three things going on

[think morse code]

time
open circuit
close circuit

and with proper intuitive escape detection [esc] routine, it can be fast too.

True, true, but it would be hard to use by the average consumer Which of course does not apply here, the brilliant Yaris owner community

no it won't be hard

you need proper documentation.

not one giant folded map-sized sheet from japan with 187 if/then statements

At the moment to keep the user interface simple, it is just short press and long press. A short press on any screen brings you to the next screen. A long press on any screen other than the DTC ones brings you into clock set mode. In the DTC screens a long press brings you to the dialog for clearing the DTCs.

For configuration of colors, displayed/hidden screen choices, etc., I plan on implementing them through the optional USB PC interface.

It will have the option of switching between metric and imperial units. The first units will be the clock replacement ones, but I will also offer a standalone unit with a case as well as a one which will replace one of the center AC vents for those that want it integrated on sedans or liftbacks that already have a tach.

I don't have a definite time period yet for when these will be shipping. I still have to figure out packaging for the standalone one, but it will probably be in a case about 10cm wide x 5cm high x 3cm thick. The stand alone one will be able to take advantage of the entire display where the integrated one is only able to use about 1/3 of the height of the display. With the cost of the OLED display, the cost will be in the $150 range.
