I have a good idea. Let's settle this on here, instead of talking crap.

Royalty, post up your mod list. Not planned mods, ones that are on the car right now. MiniRed, you too. Then I'll start a new thread with a poll.

A respectful and proper YW shootout, anyone?

I don't understand the contest.

Was were the requirements for entering the contest and what were they looking for?

Is it a combination of style + performance mods?

I've never seen pink mods on a sedan btw (that's a neutral comment btw, not positive or negative ). The last pink-themed Yaris I saw was that pink / candy Yaris, at the car show.

Judging sheets are fairly standard with points for number and type of mods and cleanliness. There is quite a bit of subjectivity, as you might imagine.

performance/engine
exterior/cosmetic (sometimes this includes wheels, sometimes not)
paint (sometimes a separate category with its own trophy)
lighting (sometimes a separate category with its own trophy)
interior
audio/video
overall creativity (any one-offs, custom work, etc)
car display (carpet, props, mod list or battle board, etc)
cleanliness (sometimes overall, sometimes for each of the above)

Also, a judge's familiarity with the vehicle model is very important. For example (and it's JUST an example), in this case they may not have noticed that Tony's car has an aftermarket lip kit installed.

I thought both had their say and it was going to be the end. It seems like Tomato and cali yaris is dragging this on. This will only bring on more hard feelings. Just let it pass.

I already requested the thread be cleaned up, yaris-me.

If people don't think it's a good idea, then don't do it! I'm not trying to drag anything on -- and my last post was explaining, in general, how judging works at car shows. Was that not useful information?

Ah, OK, thanks, Garm. It would be interesting to see how many points each of these categories earn, but I can see there is a lot of room for personal judgment there.

We're not "dragging anything on, they're done fighting.
I'm just asking for clarifications on how the process works.

great idea garm!

BATTLE ROYALE!

ps thats why i am including a mods list everytime i show my car now. a lot of my mods could be looked over due to lack of familiarity with yaris sedans

^ Here's a tip also: I usually have a modlist on display, but I print an extra copy to hand to the judges. Hardly anyone does that and they can take it back with them to wherever they sit down and figure points. Helps remind them of some details they may have missed while looking at so many cars.

^ Thats exactly what a majority of the cars at BOS 5 car show in parking lot of Toyota dealerships last year did.

I will be doing that as well, since i have interior changes/mods that no one will notice unless its dark outside~
