Resolved issues

I just got a suggestion:
I have been on DSMtuners.com forums and noticed that when someone starts a thread on a certain issue, and later down the posts the OP says they fixed thier problem and explains what it was, moderators will put [Resolved] next to the thread title to let people know that this issue on that thread has been fixed.

Its very useful so u are not reading pages of posts to find out that the problem has yet to be fixed.. At least then, I can read the first few posts and the last one and find the solution to the problem.

just a thought guys

I hate when peeps come in, report an issue, then disappear for good. No follow-up. Would also be nice if 100% of the regulars also would bring an issue thread full circle.

*quickly goes to check that I have none left hanging*

you could also edit the first post to say where the resolution came in (ie: page 4 or post # 32 or something)

this is a good idea.

^^ yea.. thats a good idea.. the only reason i say a Mod should do this is because some of the newbies never read the "newbie thread".. so they probably will never edit to resolve.. but since the mods are always checking the threads, i think it would be easier that way..

NOT TRYING TO GIVE THE MODS MORE WORK TO DO... sorry guys!

Sounds like a good suggestion to me but you assume the mods read every thread ;)

We're not here full time, so it's impossible to cover the whole forum and look at every thread (but of course we do respond to reported posts, spam and malicious attacks, etc. ;)

Yup, it's really odd when they do that. Oh well.

Definitly, I dont wanna put any more pressure on any of the admin then they already have. I was just puting an idea in the suggestion box.

Possibly assign each admin to a different catagory.. I dont know how many Admins there are. Maybe give one person "general topics" and "Pic and Vid", and someone else "cosmetic and engine performance"
Try to make it fair to how many posts get put up per admin..
