has anyone else done this w/ googlemaps?
ive done this before and just did it again now:
i was to call a store to see if they have something in stock. i know where the store is, in this case its a health food store, but i forget the name of it as its something somewhat obscure. since you're like me and suck at doing internet searches for stores, you hop onto googlemaps and go down into street view to check out the name of the store. in my situation this afternoon, the store has their phone number on the side of the building, so i didnt even need to search yellowpages.ca for the phone number technology...its swell

Suprisingly I do this very often when I can't figure out the name or even the street, so i go to someplace i know that is close by and just start google driving down the roads until i get to my destination. SO HANDY

you can also right click the building on the map and click "what's here" That will give you the address, then you can google that address, usually giving you the name of the business.

I check out street views on my Motorola Droid. Works great. I like to show people and it blows their mind. They're like, "How's that possible!?"
