Installed Sirius Radio

Well I finally broke down and bought a Sirius radio car kit for 39.99 at Circuit city, now I can't live without it.....

Anyone else here that listens to satellite radio?

Wow that sounds like a good deal. I've never used Sirius/XM before, but it sure seems promising.
Some pics on this unit would be nice.

XM

I stay in the car longer just because I enjoy satellite radio so much.

Sirius FTW!! 015 is a good channel if you're into older music, they play a good mix of 60-90's. Howard stern rocks too, Bubba @ 3PM on Howard101.

Get together with someone. The 2nd subscription on the same account is almost half the price of the first. If you split the total cost of both ESN's you got yourself a nice deal.

I miss Underground Garage but when I sold the Golf I cancelled my subscription. I have a Rhapsody account now and I totally love it.

You pay a monthly fee you can download unlimted. They have a TON of what I listen to but there are some gaps in the available music. These gaps are easily filled with the extensive libraries. I have rediscovered so much stuff lately. Far more entertaining musically than Sirius ever was. I have control again. I have again become an album guy instead of a random MP3 or radio playlist guy.

hey you know you can wire the sirius to a fuse so you still have access to the power outlet.

anyways i have sirius and i hardly ever listen to it. i used to like howard stern when he was on fm but the show on sirius is nothing like it. he comletely lost his edge in my opinion.i guess is easier to say fuck and cock, to get peoples reaction, than to make a good show like he used to. plus after hearing the way he has been talking about opie & anthony it lets me know that he is out of times now.

i'm planing on swtching to xm, they have opie & anthony which is the best show on fm right now. plus there are a lot more spanish channels on xm for my kind of music.

have fun with you system.

This is the Sirius Unit that I bought, it's on sale for 39 dollars and it takes about 5 minutes to install, it's a no frills unit, but it plugs right into the aux input on our stock stereos and it gets great reception.

I prefer XM, but both have a ton of channels. Seems to me that Sirius has more sports channels, which I don't listen to.

XM favs: 21, 22, 45, 77, 150

TIP:
Before you choose, try streaming some XM and Sirius from their websites into your home computer -- you'll be able to decide which plays "your thing" the most

With the pending merger of XM and Sirius I wonder what is going to happen with programing? I was a previous Sirius customer and now do XM. There are things I like about both.

Supposedly XM has better music but Sirius had better everything else. When they merge hopefully they will take the best from each and offer 1 good service :)
