Correct, it's a 194 Wedge bulb.

They match my HIDs exactly.

Look close, its not your typical LED "bulb."

I didn't like the stock yellow lights either but the Philips Blue Vision 4000K H4s are about 60AUD plus it has blue park lights which I don't like. I would have liked the Diamond Vision 5000K H4s but they're not street legal in SA, so I bought Narva Arctic Blue 4000K H4 for 38AUD then bought a pair of super white led parking lights for about 10AUD to match the Narvas.

The Narva's white light is better than the stock yellow so I'm satisfied with my purchase.

more information

http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...ts-for-tundra/

I went here (HIDtech.com) and they answered all my questions promptly, here is their response. It looks like they are a good company to work with, definitely know their stuff.

Thank you for your interest in our products.

A retrofit for your vehicle will not be a problem. The total cost to
retrofit your vehicle will depend on what type of projector you would like
to use. A retrofit using a DOT spec HID / xenon projector will cost a total
of $1050^. This will include:
-2 DOT spec HID / xenon projectors*
-2 Philips 4100k D2S bulbs
-2 Hella ballast
-wiring harness
-cosmetic trim (optional, if not purchased subtract $100)
-return shipping

A retrofit using an ECE spec HID / xenon projector will cost a total of
$1100^. This will include:
-2 ECE spec HID / xenon projectors*
-2 Philips 4100k D2S bulbs
-2 Hella ballast
-wiring harness
-cosmetic trim (optional, if not purchased subtract $100)
-return shipping

If a bi-xenon projector is needed over the single low beam xenon
application, there is an additional $50 cost. The bi-xenon projector is
primarily used for vehicles that use a single bulb as both low and high
beams. The bi-xenon projector would function as both the low and high
beams.

If you currently have your own bulbs that you would like to use, your total
retrofit cost would be discounted $50. As long as your bulbs are OEM based
without any modifications then they should be reusable. If you currently
have your own ballast that you would like to use, your total retrofit cost
would be discounted by $150. As long as your ballast and/or bulb are OEM
based without any modifications
(http://www.illusion-lighting.com/misc/oem.jpg) then they should be
reusable.

If you would like for us to purchase a new set of headlamps for you, we
would purchase those directly from our local dealer. The cost that the
dealer charges us would then be passed down to you. Typical headlamp cost
for most vehicles range from $200 to $600 for the pair. Please note that
most domestic (American) vehicles will require the use of aftermarket
headlamps. OEM headlamps for domestic vehicles are sealed permanently.

An optional Philips 6000k is also available if you are looking for a more
intense blue/purple. The Philips 6000k bulb can be substituted with the
Philips 4100k bulb for an additional $200.

Turnaround time for a projector retrofit will vary depending on our work
load at the time. Our usual turnaround time for most projects is one to
three weeks. However, if a quick turnaround time is essential, we can
perform the retrofit in one weekend if needed. The cost for the one weekend
turnaround is an additional $150. This also includes a three day return
shipping service through FedEx.

Currently we have openings available in July. If you are interested and
would like to secure a date to have your headlamps retrofitted, we ask that
you leave a $100 deposit payable through Paypal to
sales@illusion-lighting.com and complete our online customer form
(http://wwwillusion-lighting.com/contacts.html) if you have not already done
so. Once we receive the deposit and the completed form we will send you a
completed / finalized sales invoice with a breakdown of each component and
we can schedule a specific date for you to ship in your headlamps.

*Price may vary slightly depending on which projector is used.
^ Prices do not include sales tax (8.25% if located in California) or
customs tax where applicable.

Due to the large volume of e-mails we receive, PLEASE include previous
e-mails when responding. This will allow us to read the complete dialogue
in one message and will result in quicker responses.

There is a shop in NYC that for around $700 start to finish will take your headlights, get them apart, install projectors, seal the back up, and ship back. Dont remember if it also included a set of HIDs.. I do remember then selling them as well though.

Why don't you spend some money and get a legit HID kit. It gives you much higher intensity, much more lumens, they draw less power and they last almost 5 times longer then halogen.

Those Plasma stuff is merely color-coated glass and hence it affects your lumens (brightness). HID, like 4300K, gives you between 2900-3200 lumens, which is 3 times of brightness of halogen.

Read this toturial, especially the "MISCONCEPTION" part:

I understand what you are sayin but for some people it just makes no sence to spend a reatrded amount of $$$ on a bit of extra lighting.

The OEM lights cast more then enough light for me to see at night. Fact is the Yaris has the best lighting out of any car/bike I have ever owned. I don't need more light.
I would however like to change the color a bit because i like the look/color of HID. I spent $30 and had super white lights for 3 years. Parked next to my sisters Mini cooper S tmy truck lights were nearly the exact same color. the difference in the amount the light cast between the two was not worth $500-$1000 IMO.

That's fine and cool, whatever floats your boat. I understand some people just want a little but not the whole thing. I wasn't flaming the guy but trying to give the guy advice and a tutorial about it to read.

GE Night Hawks vs Osram Silverstars

Just a little more information on this subject in case anyone cares.

I got a set of GE's Night Hawks a couple of weeks ago for sometinng around $26.

Last week I found the Orsram Silverstars in a local store for only $11 so I got them.

I went home and install a GE bulb in one of the headlights and a Osram on the other side...

This are the results: The color of the light is the same in both. Not complete white but far away from the yellow OEM's.

But... here is the diference! Using the low beam, the Osram's outperformed the GE's in the intensity and reach of the light... by far...!
When using the high beam, both were pretty close (you can't tell the difference).

So.... by less than the half of the price of the Night hawks I found a much better bulb! Be carefull when you buy something by the looks of the box...

Also, Osrams are German made while the GE's... gues what? China

Yes, the Osram Silverstars are very well made and do put out a decent amount of light, not to be confused with the Sylvania Silverstars, of course, which are absolute crap.
