I think that looks good, goes well with the Yaris, and it's a Pioneer, so that's definately good, I think we're going with the other Pioneer Full Height unit (FH-P4200MP) in ours, but the 5000 looks pretty good there. You planning on adding any IP-Bus extras soon, Sat Radio, iPod, Disc Changer? You can change the illumination color on the 5000 model, can't you?

Should have just been Metra 95-8202 for the dash kit
and Metra 70-1761 harness (or other company's equvalent)

whys that? all you should have to do is go to the dealer and order a new dash stereo face ($65 i think); its been listed in several threads; then install your new headunit.....

When i read the description of the head unit it said "10 colours to choose from!" and im like "WOW FUCK YEAH IM BUYING IT!" but if you look carefully with the 2 pics, you can see there are 2 different colours showing. One violet i think and one orange. You can set the colour of that stupid horizontal line in the middle....NOT ALL! HOW FUCKED IS THAT!!?? anyway i set it on "rainbow" so it changes colour every 5 secs.

really a downfall that not everything changes colour, and its a $800 head unit too. Lucky i paid $400 cuz its only worth $400

That does suck... Oh well, that's why I like the 4200, the white display and green button illumination match the gauges.

The 4200 model aint really eye candy isnt it hey? lol well thats my opinion, i think its ugly as.

Trust myself to go for looks than performace, if i knew that my head unit couldnt change the whole colour layout i wouldnt have baught it, i woulda baught a single din headunit and a single din dvd player and stacked it on one another.

you got the 4200 pault or u just like it?

I like it, it's got all the features I need, and the illumination mostly matches, plus I just like full height head units better, and I don't want anything but a Pioneer. Don't have one yet, but that's what I'll be going with. I have seen a few Japanese Head Units that I like and I think would go well in the Yaris, like the Sony WX-7700MDX... but I don't want to deal with the headaches of a frequency converter. What I would really like in the Yaris is a Pioneer AVIC-D2 or AVIC-Z1... but I cant afford that kind of head unit.

Oh, the WX-5900MD? Yeah, they both look good, really though, just designwise, I think they both fit the Yaris pretty well.
