that stuff is real CF, but in a convenient adhesive-backed form.

You could take the eyelids to be CF-wrapped, but it'll essentially be the same thing, though with maybe a more durable/glossy finish.

BTW I took my old ones out of storage, I think it'll soon be time to disable the ugly starship LEDs on my headlights and return to the mean look

i'll go out and snap a few pics for you

when i got them the white was off a little

tk offered to give me like 20% off or something but they are a solid product and it wasnt that bad

it might of been because its a phoenix car and the paint might of faded a bit

I like that look, kustom play! Thanks for the pics.

Paint fade is one of the reasons brand new parts don't match the car. Honestly though, I am pretty sure it had more to do with how much paint actually varies between countries. I need some paint samples from the actual car it's going to be installed on in order to get a perfect match.

Just out of curiosity: Did the white even out with the rest of the car over time?

I can't tell you how many times I've taken mine off and put back on .. no problems at all. I'm running with version 2 of these eyelids which still has the base which was later eliminated for version 3.

1. Initial install
2. Removed, wrapped in vinyl, and reapplied
3. Removed for winter '08/'09
4. Reapplied for FL trip
5. Removed for trade in of '07
6. Reapplied for the new '09

Heat is the trick to making the double sided tape easier to handle. Either do it on a hot sunny day, or use a blow dryer to heat the tape up and carefully pull them off slowly.

What version of the eyelids do you have?
