Stop asking Chino if it's done! He doesn't like it!
(OK Chino... I think he's gone. Have you finished the intake or not? You can tell me... )

I'm all down for one whenever Chino gets it finished. Its good to see the actual owners and drivers taking things into their own hands to get a solid product out lol.

Been a long time since I updated, so here it is...

I ran into a problem that is going to prolong this process even longer than it already has been. Sucks, I know, but some things aren't in my control. Basically, we had some issues with our first machinist and decided to part ways with him and start looking for an alternative. We found another machinist and he has agreed to help on the project, but unfortunately the process had to begin all over again with the plates, so we are waiting on that. Other than that, everything is in my posession... couplers, clamps, piping, expander, and Chris is holding onto the test filter, so as soon as I get a perfect MAF adapter we start testing.

Short of our MAF problems, the design of the rest of the piece has vastly exceeded my expectations. This intake is built like the proverbial brick shithouse. Your Yaris will rust and fall away long before this intake is done kicking. We're using high quality 3 ply couplers, t-bolt clamps for the throttle body, and stainless piping. None of the worm gear clamp, tinny polished aluminum and single ply couplers you'll find on Ebay. In short, I'm extremely excited to get this on the market. I think some jaws are going to drop.

I'll update once we begin the testing phase. Don't ask for a deadline because I'm obviously not all that great at meeting them. Just rest assured that its close and its awesome. Oh, and don't bother giving me hell for not having this done. I've busted my ass and its been frustrating to run into so many problems, but there is only so much I can do. If you're that annoyed at waiting, by all means... buy something else. Your loss.

Charles

So once you get the plates are you welding them to the piping? You doing the welding yourself?
Hope they come in soon, did he give you a prototype maf yet?

Still not done? I can't believe this. You're disappointing me Charles. Seriously, if there was a smilie I could use to display my frustration and disappointment with you, I...oh wait...found one.

Hey, I was wondering... I was thinking of buying the TRD intake but I am want to buy the most affective intake system available. Is the CC intake suppose to be really powerful or is everyone mostly stoked because its coming from a member of YW? I understand that it will look excellent but it is a short ram right? Which will give more power?

I'm goin on a limb here.. but it'll be as effective as any other short ram.

People are hyped because someone on these boards is making it, yea... and the projected price and build quality will make it a no brainer.
