might as well keep posting new threads. If the top 10 or 20 threads are all complaints about the site being down, it will make sponsors take notice.

the fact that the admins don't care enough to keep the site up yet so many people still use it even though there are at least a half dozen other boards to use sort of makes everyone look like an idiot.

However if the sponsors threaten to pull out maybe the admins might do something, because if it isn't making them money they would probably close it.

Are there any active sponsors anymore other than Micro Image (Cali_Yaris)?

What is Yarisworld again? I have decided to pull my YW.com vinyl off my car. Gonna replace it with the one I got from the shop that is tuning my ride.

I don't think the admins make any money on the site. I believe him when he previously stated it cost him out of pocket every month.

Sure they do! It's up now, isn't it?!! I don't want to repeat what PK has already said but honestly I'm in total agreement with him about this. We do have a board, we can use it when it's up and most of the time it is. Are we THAT SPOILED?!!

So the admin isn't online most of the time... so what?!! It isn't news and going on about it thread after thread doesn't change anything. We can still use the board, as it is!

Correct me if I'm wrong but most of you by now are alrady at MI, on FB, and connecting with each other in numerous other ways. So this board has done it's job.

Why do we have to go through the same stuff over and over and over and over and over .....

Nothing against Garm. But i'm not on Micro Image. I own a freakin Toyota Camry Hybrid and feel it would be hypocrytical for me with a big car to become a new member on a small call forum.

I like it here on YarisWorld. At least I owned one of those and an Echo in years past. Stop trying to shove me onto MI. It's not a comfortable fit for me.

p.s The shoving is coming from multiple posters in this thread, not just you tomato.

I'm on MI (but don't browse often) but don't even have a Facebook. Even with the shortcomings here I've learned a TON of information here and just hate to see the place falling apart :(

It is at the least a tax write-off so he is making money from it no matter how you slice it. Not trying to turn into an argument with it...just making a valid point.

^ I learned this year that having write-offs doesn't always make a flip when you file taxes ... especially when you're single and have no kids and just have normal business expenses. F--k tax write-offs. I hope this website costs him a small fortune so it's worth it.

A whole dedicated server (which YW is obviously not on) is $50 a month.

GoDaddy.com is $4 a month.

Besides me (which covers way more than either of those options) is TireRack.com and I guarantee you they are paying something decent to have the whole Wheel/Tire forum named after them.

The forum software is a one-time purchase, and we've all seen the lack of plug-ins, so I don't there there are extra expenses there.

Just keeping that part of it real, since I'm paying for the privilege.

Gee, two whole days... What did that cost you guys out of pocket? Lots of sniveling here for something that is free. Personally, I enjoy this site; perhaps the whiners should ante up and do better, right?
