If you have to ask what kind of tools you'll need, why are YOU putting a stereo in a BRAND NEW CAR?! Call your friends.

i would use a drill, hole saw, dremel, rotozip, router, use anything that will cut stuff, an exact-o-knife/utility knife, a file, sand paper, anything will work, and depending on the exact speakers, there may me a trim ring/surface mount setup that will cover up an imperfect hole ;)

Tweeters: Hole Saw will do the job. Mount in the A Pillar garnish or the upper part of the arm rest panel on the doors. For better sound staging, I suggest the A-Pillar garnish. Your instruction manual should state what size diameter the hole needs to be. Get the appropriate hole saw and drill it using a power drill.

Speakers: You will need custom spacers. Look up my thread on spacers (templates) for the Yaris. This will require a band saw, jig saw, and possibly a router. Mounting depth is also an issue here, so if you have enormous magnets that extend the depth past 2.75", you will need a 1/2" spacer (thickness of the bracket).

I cut the holes (carefully) for my tweeters with a utility knife.
