Bronsin dent a rim!

I just got these Firestone Affinity Touring tires two for $209 installed less than 500 miles ago.

During a memorial winter here in NJ near Philly, I hit a major pothole. Look at the photo and tell me what you think. Tire trashed? It still holds air two days later. It does not vibrate at 75 mph either.

Would this impact have destroyed an aluminum rim?

Thanks!

That would probably have cracked a light weight aluminum rim. The tire should be OK.

You're lucky man, I did similar damage to a wheel on a curb and 25mph was unbearable.

No bubbling on the tire, you're *probably* ok.

Wow, that must've been some pothole.
Tire looks great to me.

Ouch ! Hopefully there wasn't any other damage to the suspension . One of year . Our paved drive is getting more cracks , heaving and sinking .

I walked out to my Yaris after the install. They had put the Affinity Touring tires on my car (without telling me ). It turned out the person who was supposed to order the FR710s I wanted forgot to order them (), so they 'upgraded' me to the Affinity Touring tires. They said a 30 day 'trial' is part of their service, so (if I didn't like them) I could come back and have them put new FR710s on at no cost. I figured I had nothing to lose, putting wear on tires I didn't have to keep. I didn't like them (worse MPG among other things...I posted re this (when my car had under 230k on the odometer)). I returned within about 3 weeks and had them put new FR710s on the car.
