)) Yaris Driving Lessons ((

Well I am currently attempting to teach my wife how to drive. She is from Thailand and she has never had the need to drive while over there, you know with public transportation and all. So now living in the USA and the lack of public transportation in the So Cal area I told her she needs to be able to drive herself anywhere for anything. So before letting her behind the Yaris controls I took her to one of those indoor go-kart tracks so she would have some understanding of what the RIGHT pedal and the LEFT pedal does, how to approach and exit a turn. Besides, if she did something goofy, it's only the plastic barriers that gets damaged. She did great also. So I picked a vacant parking lot and slowly went through the basic instructions. After a couple of hours she was doing so good I actually decided to take my hand off of the emergency brake handle. Everybody has to start sometime. Do you remember when you started driving?? BTW, while in Tailand is where I was introduced to the Yaris and now the proud owner of one and I'm sure my wife will be driving her own as well. If the pics download, she has a big smile on her face.

Well, I can't get another cause I already have 3 others in the garage (all V-8's Muscle cars). If I do get another it will be for her. My 08 is my daily point A to B driver.

Thai girls are great! (just don't piss em off, you have not witnessed female wrath until you've met an angry Thai woman!) Very cool car and cool photos. Looks like she's having a blast.

Probably a good idea to let her learn on the Yaris, then

I really really like the TRD wheels on show-based Yarii. The rims are so damn clean and just look great.

Too bad they're incredibly bad for performance haha.

GL to your wife on getting her license. Luckily it's easy here in the States.

When I started this I was thinking the exact same thing.
Maybe I'll start her out in one of those Kia Rio's instead.

yeah, it would be smarter to rent a car and let her learn on that. Or get her into a defensive driving program.

Amen on the defensive driving program.

With all the crazy ass drivers out there, you need to be able to use evasive maneuvers to dodge those mofos.

She looks like she is having a blast. The Yaris is a good car to learn, it's small and the steering is very responsive.
