Good (bagging) News.

So I just joined up with a local car & truck club called last night and they all have air bagged rides. Well, we got to talking about bagging the yaris and they said all I need to do is buy the parts which would come out to about $500 and they would install them for me.

This would just be front and back bags.

(I guess they said they can get the hook up on bags for really cheap.)

Does that sound right?

Wow that's cheap! Please let us know about the parts you get... I might actually do the same thing.

Because it's my car and I want it bagged.

I don't participate in YW "standards" for cars. Sorry.

I've always been a fan of bagged cars.

You could have just answered that you like form over function.

and for 500 bucks, I don't care who's doing it, I guarantee you pop a bag or get a leak within the first year.

This is one of the kits I was considering, but nowhere as low in price as you were talking about. There are quite a few benifiets to runnin' bags.
As to standards I'm not sure there is something as organized as a standard when it comes to personalization of ones car.

I have the Air Runner kits for the Yaris, but they are $2500+.

I say for $500 you can do it five times over, especially if you have friends that can help you.

I wasn't trying to be a dick. I was just saying how I felt about it. Why would I answer how someone else wants me to anyway?

Thanks for your negative response. Just fuels me to want to do it more.

For sure, I understand where you're coming from. I'm just saying I like it, so that's why i'm doing it. Practical is a word that's used very loosely. To some, buying ANYTHING for a Yaris isn't practical at all.

But just to explain it better.. Because I want to be able to lay it out every time I go somewhere. I love to be low. :D

Maybe this will help with my reasoning.

that's crazy $500, hope it's a reliable kit. 5x times over, 5x times installing, 5x times wasted. but that's just me. keep us posted on how the kit goes. how are your friends kits? i'm really curious to know. and what kinds of hoses, brackets, etc.. do they use?

I'll post up all the information when I get it.

They haven't had any problems.

The club has been around since 1992 and the guys doing it have been in it for 15 years.

They all have features in magazines too. So that's a good sign right? =)
