Looks like the majority wants to keep the same name. Do we even need to vote, lol? :)
I liked the names on the other poll better myself but OK, I'll set it up. I was kind of getting tired of typing "[panda] " anyway. UPDATE: I set the poll in this thread. Go ahead and vote. Poll will close in 3 days ! Good luck! Last edited by tomato; 11-17-2009 at 02:09 PM. Reason: adding the update |

Maybe the next panda?! Wanna see more pictures? |

Will do, I have tons of pics :)
I really took him almost everywhere in SF, just like I do for people from out of town. He totally got the VIP treatment ! [Panda] and I were planning on going to "build-a-bear " tomorrow night at the mall, to see if they have anything in his size, and if that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to go pester my friend who owns a sewing machine, and we'll make one up this WE. |

OK, people have voted, the panda has a name !!
I'll move the posts in the new thread tonight and will update some new pics. I spoke to a lady this morning about making the t-shirt, so things are looking up on that end finally. Darb, can you check and make sure you are able to edit the first post of thread #4 before I move more posts in there? Thanks. Last edited by tomato; 11-22-2009 at 08:42 PM. |

Bamboo found some clothes!!
I thought maybe we could sort out Bamboo's clothes in this thread, before we lock it,
so we can leave the other one open for more pictures, comments, or whatever. Here goes, big news: Bamboo has finally found something to wear See for yourself!! Bamboo will now measure the garment so we can have a meaningful discussion about logos and stuff. (BTW, don't worry about the bear next to Bamboo, that's Tomato's buddy.) I was hoping you'd say something like that TG, thanks!
In fact, I was waiting for Darb to get back so I can shamelessly steal his signature and use it for the panda's jacket JBougie has offered to try to embroider the jacket so maybe we should let her have a shot at it first (that's why I posted all the photos with the measurements, so she can give detailed information to her lady who does the embroidery). Embroidery people usually like to work with a flat piece of fabric, so she may not be able to get anywhere with that little hoodie. If that doesn't work, then maybe you TG could heat-print something? I do'nt know the garment content, though, it's not written on it or anywhere on the wrapping. I'm guessing it's a polyester mix, and would work well with something like this: http://www.avery.ca/vgnfiles/OP/en_u...-shirtfull.pdf (you have to get the one for dark colors, though). I would have done it myself but right now, between the panda, the shipping fees, the hoodie.. I've spent close to $25 already and I still haven't mailed out the panda to the next guy. The Avery templates cost around $17 + tax or so at the local office depot (yes, the cost of living is insane out here :sigh:) If you guys are unable to do the logo, then I'll do it, but I might have to start collecting a few bucks, then, because I don't want to spend much more than $25 on the project. Thoughts anyone? |

If I had 15 dollars more to spend on the project, that's exactly what I would have done, put that box as is on the back of the hoodie. |

i have a heat transfer press :)
but all i need is an additive for the ink to stick to non cotton. i could score some from the shop down the street if need be :) the jacket should be able to fit on the head of an embroidery machine.

well get it over here and i'll do it up :) no sweat :)
i'll also print it onto a patch of material .. or a couple just in case it doesnt hold up we can always just sew a patch on the back that has been screen printed. but i'll get it perfect. no worries :)
