n00b-ish Questions Do you need to upgrade internals when adding a Supercharger/Turbo? After the SC do you need to upgrade to a higher octane gas?

according to there site the Bb, makes 150 Hp, and comes with bigger injectors...

I had a Jackson Racing supercharger- roots style - on my 1998 CR-V and I got nowhere near the performance they are claiming. I also had to use premium gas and got poor mileage. Maybe these centrifugal superchargers are better than the 10 year old roots type.
The install on my CR-V was a friggin nitemare too!

You can have things like rods and pistons custom made, but it isn't cheap.
The Scion xA that has the Danstoy ITB kit used to run a supercharger but he removed it due to the amount of damage done to his piston rings. He was running 7 PSI. Good luck boosting the 1NZ. |
