as far as all the mainstream movies they all have been alright, nothing spectacular...

if j-horror appeals to you at all I would highly suggest checking out some takashi miike stuff, however all of his movies are not really j-horror

visitor Q is amazing

I liked the ending of children of men I thought it was a perfect ending for the movie, I didn't really want to know what happened to each individual and see them living in some commune later on a cute little island or whatever, it was as bleak as the rest of the film and it left it up to you to in a way have your own pondering thoughts of that future

have you seen y tu mama tambien or the motorrcycle diaries?
both really good movies.
These poor inner-city families are living commune-style in this closed gated community in some Mexican city. They are about to celebrate this festival honoring the deceased relatives and the Saints. Someone drops one of the ceremonial statues, and they realize that the contents are pure gold. So, the families start battling over them, to cash them in for a better life. People start getting killed, and noone knows who has them... it's quite funny. Check it out. What are those you listed like?

you would like common wealth, similar story, great movie

the most shocking movie I saw this year was short bus, basically it is porn and if you are not very accepting I wouldn't reccomend at all, by no means is this movie mild

Well, luckily I'm borrowing them from a co-worker and didn't have to pay anything!

I happen to like Forest Whitiker, too.

i gotta get that santos peregrinos, sounds like a great flick.

the motorcycle diaries follows che guevara and his best friend while he was in his early twenties. they embark on a motorcycle trip througout south america, where he faces the injustices the poor have to endure to get by in life, while the big oil/mining corporation exploit the land/people while getting filthy rich. he was going to be a doctor but the trip made him change his future into the che we know today.

y tu mama tambien has 2 young teenagers coming of age with an older woman. they learn about life and love. i saw it last year so my memory is not the best, but i know is a good movie.

Thanks man, sounds great, I'll see if my local joint has it available..they're funny. If it isn't rented often enough, they trade it to another store. Hard to find good flicks, as they get older. Alas, another casualty of our "progressive" society.

I was rather dissapointed with it. It was a good movie, but didn't carry any weight with me. I didn't care much what happened with the riders, the people they met, etc.

I didn't identify with that one either.

Another good movie with that actor would be the Science of Sleep, that movie was quite good to me.
