Forgive my ignorance but what kept you from doing just that??

I'm asking becuase had I known about Canadian spec 5 door RS I would have tried to get one.

I had a friend who moved down from the North and he brought his Nissan down with him..but I didn't think to ask him what was involved.

Mine didn't come with those They're a requirement for North American Yarii, but I think you can take the headlight apart and remove the reflector part, though be careful, it's quite possible you could get a ticket for that...

You could follow this DIY to split your headlights open (and give them a nice color while you're at it):

i was thinkin of colouring it...but is that legal in canada?... hmmm... maybe a blue tint instead of yellow?... im affraid of tickets lol

You should be fine if you just smoke them. If you paint over them you will lose the reflective quality.
