door scuff marks

has anyone done anything to prevent the easily scuffing door panels. several yarii ive test driven already have scuff marks on the lower door. is there some type of transparent plastic that would stick and not look too conspicuous? another solution is to be super careful when entering and exiting, but over the long haul, these doors are gonna get scuffed up pretty good.
