That's weird. BTW, if I get that Hello Kitty exhaust tip from Garm, can you hook me up with the welding? I'll PM you so you can think about it and tell me how much $

I think i just fell in love w/ the bay area again...

That video is awesome Yaris Sedan...Friday the 13th can't come sooner~lol

I think most of us are modded w/ lowering springs or better shocks or rear sway bars...my tires aren't what they use to be, but they can still hold their ground. Its going to be fun going through it at night :)

Are there any cars usually that late up at night. I'm thinking we will be cruising up there around 9:30~10pm?

As for the camera being mounted in the car, we NEED ezhacker1 for THAT! He needs to come because he has a PERFECT one for this.

I dont think there will be any cars there at night. Its typically deserted even in the day time. Mostly rich people live way up miles in the hills and its not like they leave and go to work every day like the rest of us i think they just are mostly retired people so theres never any type of traffic on the roads.

The route we would take is probally going ot be starting at milpitas which is a little safter. On the video you see the guy is hugging the edge of the cliff. One mistake and you would fly off. Comming from milpitas is the opposite way so you would be hugging more the mountain walls its a little more safter. If you misjudged a turn atleast only the side of your car would get hurt instead of you getting hurt.

There is another road kind of like this one between Mill Valley and Stinson Beach, but there is a LOT of traffic there if memory serves.

Just to let you guys know, that calveras has a lot of elevation change even through the hairpins. Keep in mind especially with stock suspension since the car won't settle. The edge of the road if you heading south towards Milpitas is elevated from the dirt. You'll also need to honk your horn before entering turns. Bring 2 ways bec. most cel phone will not get any signal and someone can communicate in case of a crash.

I ran Calaveras before the construction of new pavement and addition of guard rails. Its dangerous then and still today if you aren't careful.

I know what you are taking about where the road turns to a single lane and its a blind turn. I think during at night though the headlights of any oncomming cars will make it more obviouse that cars are comming. Still on those few sections i always slow down to a crawl. There are only a few of them halfway up the mountain.

slow down to a crawl, now that's a real good plan.
I hope you all plan on doing this the safest possible way, no racing or speeding through blind turns or anything stupid!

Thanks man, ill take a pic of my camera mount set up, later tonight. Tho i really dont know if i can go or not..church youth group obligations. If Garm is a definite and if he can bring me a sway bar and we install it, ill show up and do the cruise. :)

The video of the route is great, i liked the music, i need to make a nice playlist of non sucky Eurobeat songs, which mostly means Initial D. Its either that or you guys will hear me blasting Ride of the Valkyrie.
