need help urgent !!!!

hi everybody im new to this forum and i desperatelly need some help
i recently bought a 2005 toyota vitz rs from a friend and it seems it has been lowered with white trd springs and blue trd shocks (dont ask me the series thats all i know)
BUT ! the ride quality sucks and i keep rubbing my tires to the inside of the fender so much that i bend an edge of one of the fenders ! i hate it
i feel every pothole as if it is a huge hole and it's just not nice to drive
i would love to get it back to stock as much as possible but cannot find any stock vitz rs shocks nor springs
so if anybody can help me with an alternave or a sollution i would be forever greatfull
ooh it also has 17"wheels on wich i would rqther see go for the stock 16" (forgive me if im wrong)
but i just liked the stock feel of on i drove and this one is just horrible

any aftermarket shocks and springs that would give me back the stock feel and ride quality would be perfect
* also if u got any of there parts for sale !i would be interested in buying them off u . keep in mind its a vitz rs not a yaris.

tnx a lot for ur help and support

The tires are too big in all likelyhood. You can only lower a car in certian ways, if at all, and the tire size usually needs to change, and usually not by getting bigger.

The stock wheel on an RS are no bigger than 15". The RS wheels in NA are only 14s, so just changing you wheels to smaller ones will make a big difference in the ride. Try that before you ditch the TRD suspension.

what size tires are on the car???

from the sounds of things you have TRD springs possible and the Tokico Blues for struts, the struts would be a bit stiffer, but unless the wheels are larger size with weird offset you should nt rub....

Smile

The vitz had trd shocks and springs
With 17" rims and 205-40-17 tires on them
However i heard today when i went for checkup at my local garage that the springs are "done"
And one shock is busted

So let me know what u all think in terms of replacements for the shocks and springs
And maybe what size rims to go along

Welcome to the forums.

I would consider:
  1. 205/55R15 tires on 6.5" or 7" with valid offset (use this thread for details)
  2. OEM shocks/struts, or Tokico blues if you want a slightly firmer ride
  3. OEM springs if you want standard height, Tanabe NF210/TRD/Eibach springs if you want a slightly lower ride.

05 vitz sportivo springs are white and shocks were blue....sounds like they're toast though

you'll likely want 205-50-15 since the oem sizing was smaller in those years....

tnx guys for all the input
but i cant seem to find any stock components(shocks+springs)
so i will just go with the next best thing
let me know what u think would be bestin terms of shocks and springs if keeping the 17" rims and also if shanging to the 15" rims u all recommend

please keep in mind i would like the ride as smooth as possible
also if im not mistaking the stock rims on a vitz rs are 16"(could be wrong but doubt it)

let me know tnx
